Presently, in CEO are in development stage the following investment projects:
ROVINARI Thermal Power Plant Branch
1. Major Projects (desulphurization, dense slurry, etc.):
– New dump for slag and ash from Garla, achieved for the dense slurry solution – sequenced until 2023
2. Modernization/rehabilitation of power generation capacities
– Rehabilitation and modernization of lignite-fired Power Unit No. 5 of 330 MW .
TURCENI Thermal Power Plant Branch
1. Major projects (desulphurization, dense slurry, etc.):
– Solutions for discharge, transport and storage of the waste resulted from the coal combustion in the power units’ boilers, in the form of dense slurry – connection of Power Unit No.7 to the dense slurry plant of Power Unit No. 6 – to be commissioned in 2016 and deposit heightening – sequenced by 2022
2. Modernizations/ rehabilitations of electricity generation capacities
– Rehabilitation and modernization of Power Unit No. 3 of 330 MW.
3. Investments and environmental projects
– Closure of Valea Ceplea slag and ash deposit – Scheduled until 2018.
ISALNITA Thermal Power Plant Branch
1. Major projects (desulphurization, dense slurry, etc.):
– Increasing the stability of slag and ash dump from the right and left bank of Jiu River – using dense fluid technology – sequenced by 2020
2. Modernization/rehabilitation of power generation capacities
– Rehabilitation and modernization of Power Unit No. 7.
Branch Mining Division
• Rosia de Jiu Open Pit:
– Deviation of county road Rovinari – Negomir – Completed
– Improvement of access road UMC Pesteana – UMC Rosia- in execution
– Infrastructure earthworks and foundations for new coal deposit – starting in 2016
• Lupoaia Open Pit
– Modernization and general overhaul of bucket wheel excavator E1300-04 – commissioning 2016
• The works for reintegration within the economic circuit (in different stages) of the waste piles lands: Pesteana Sud 107 ha, Pesteana Nord 90 ha, Lupoaia 111,89 ha , Rosiuta 140,15 ha , Husnicioara 20 ha , Pinoasa 30 ha , Tismana I 18 ha , Tismana II 36 ha, Rovinari Est 60 ha, Garla 69 ha , Jilt Sud 60,44 ha, Rosia 66 ha.
