The main raw material used to generate power is the lignite extracted from its own open pits in Oltenia Mining Basin.
The electricity sales are performed as follows:
1. on the Wholesale Electricity Market:
– Bilateral Agreements Market;
– Day Ahead Market;
– Intraday Market;
– Balancing Market.
2. on the Retail Market:
– for household consumers;
– for non-household consumers.
Complexul Energetic Oltenia records additional revenues by making available for the National Energy Dispatch the power units on the ancillary services market and from the bonus for cogeneration.
